GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.— After three weeks since their last tournament, the Colorado Mesa University women's golf team will resume the fall season against a loaded field at the NCAA West Region Preview, which will be played at the Pueblo Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The 36-hole tournament, hosted by CSU Pueblo, will feature more than 100 players from 21 teams from around the region and will be a chance for the squads a chance to get an advanced look at the course that will also host the 2026 regional tournament in May (May 4-6).
18-hole rounds will be played on both days.
Action will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday with a shotgun start.

Last Time Out
The Mavericks last played at the Westminster Wasatch Invitational in South Jordan, Utah on Sept. 21-22, wrapping up a busy stretch of three tournaments in 15 days. The Mavs finished seventh out of 12 teams with a 36-hole team score of 635 after placing fourth and third in the first two tournaments of the season.
Anju Ogi was the highest finishing Maverick as the fifth-year senior tied for 11
th with a score of 153 (+9). She led the Mavericks on the first day with a 74.
Payton Panzeri also finished in the top 20, tying for 16
th at 158 (+14). Panzeri carded a 75 to lead the Maverick effort on the second day.

Loaded Field
The 21-team field for the regional preview includes 13 of the 18 squads that competed in last year's regional, including each of the top five placing teams, who went on to the national tournament.
Dallas Baptist, which shared the regional title with Midwestern State, before going on to claim the national title is also one of five teams ranked amongst the top 17 of the
current Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association Coaches' Poll, released back on Sept. 26. The Patriots are currently ranked fourth in the poll.
No. 9 Cal State San Marcos, No. 12 West Texas A&M, No. 15 St. Mary's and No. 17 Midwestern State are also ranked in the poll while four other teams in Cal State East Bay, Cal State LA, host CSU Pueblo and Simon Fraser are all receiving votes in the poll.
San Marcos and West Texas A&M both advanced to the quarterfinals of last year's national championships while East Bay and Midwestern State both tied for 12
th.
Four of the five conference champions from around the region in 2025 are also in this week's field. That list includes Cal State San Marcos (California Collegiate), CSU Pueblo (Rocky Mountain Athletic), Dallas Baptist (Lone Star) and Simon Fraser (Great Northwest Athletic). Biola, which won the 2025 Pacific West Conference crown, discontinued sponsorship of the sport at the end of last season.

The Mavericks' announce lineup for the tournament includes seniors

Hayden Hawley and
Becca Washington.
Panzeri, Ogi, Gledhill and Hawley have been a part of coach
Kori Satterfield's lineup in each of the first three tournaments of the year while Washington is in the team squad for the first time after playing as an individual at the Wasatch Invitational, where she finished fifth out of the seven total Mavericks who played in the tournament.
Panzeri leads the Mavs with a 75.67 scoring average through six rounds while Ogi (76.83) and Gledhill (77.67) are just behind. Hawley has an 80.00 scoring average and has the team's lowest round of the season to date, a 1-under par round of 71 at the second round of The Swan Memorial, CMU's opening tournament.
Returning To Her Former Home
Anju Ogi will return to her old stomping grounds after spending the first four years of her collegiate career at CSU Pueblo. The Arvada, Colorado native played in both the 2023 and 2024 NCAA West Regional Tournaments while with the Pack.
