COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released the all-conference teams for football on Wednesday (Nov. 20) afternoon. Colorado Mesa landed a total of 13 student-athletes on the team and a total of 15 awards in the release.
Junior all-purpose player
Kash Bradley was awarded three separate honors this afternoon after playing in all phases of the game this season. The Bushland, Texas native earned All-RMAC First Team honors as a kick returner and a punt returner while also garnering honorable mention honors as a defensive back.
Bradley led the conference in punt return average at 11.6 yards per return while also leading in kick return average at 26.3 yards per kick return. Bradley's longest punt return of the season came against Fort Lewis where he ripped off a 36-yard return while his longest kick return came this last weekend where he had a 77-yard return against Western Colorado.
He finished the season with 37 tackles, eight pass break-ups and an interception on defense.
Redshirt junior
Colin Stuhr had his best collegiate season this year and was awarded for it with All-RMAC First Team honors at outside linebacker. The Littleton, Colo. native finished with 64 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and a career-high eight sacks. His sack total was third best in the RMAC and his tackles for loss was fourth best.
He added two interceptions and two forced fumbles to help lead the Maverick defense to the top defense in the RMAC.
Senior
JaCari Williams had another solid season for the Mavericks and was awarded with All-RMAC First Team honors. The now two-time All-RMAC defensive back finished the season with 42 tackles, an interception, and nine pass break-ups. Williams' 10 passes defended were tied for second best in the conference.
His best game of the season came against the best team in the conference in CSU Pueblo where he had eight tackles and two pass break-ups.
One half of the Thunder and Lightning running back duo earned All-RMAC Second Team honors in newcomer
Aiden Taylor. The Modesto, Calif. native helped lead the rejuvenated Maverick running attack with 669 yards and six touchdowns. Taylor had a monster game against New Mexico Highlands as he churned up 216 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Sophomore offensive lineman
Cooper Mumford was named to the All-RMAC Second Team for the first time in his young career. Mumford anchored the offensive line and helped the offense to the fourth best rushing attack in the RMAC at 165.6 rush yards per game. Mumford and the Mavericks had three games this season where they didn't allow a sack.
Senior safety
Liban Shongolo was awarded All-RMAC Second Team honors after finishing the season with 71 tackles and four pass break-ups. He had a season high 15 tackles on the road against NCAA Super Region IV No. 1 seed CSU Pueblo.
This is the third time the Commerce City, Colo. has been awarded All-RMAC honors and finished his career with 211 total tackles and 11 passes defended.
