2023: NFF Academic All-Colorado First Team...Played in all 11 games and made two starts...Finished his freshman season with 21 tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery, a blocked kick and two touchdowns... Had a season-high seven tackles against nationally ranked Colorado School of Mines on October 7...Against Fort Lewis, he had a tackle, a sack, a pass break-up, and an onside kick return for a touchdown on October 14...Returned a fumble for a touchdown against Adams State on October 21.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Arvada West High School...Coached by Brad Pyatt...Two-time All-Jeffco selection...All-State selection.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Mechanical Engineering...Son of Molly and Michael Smith...Has two siblings, Kathleen and Cecilia...Chose CMU for the location and coaching staff...Enjoys fishing, pickup sports, and spending time with friends.
