GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa football team released their 2026 schedule on Monday (Feb. 23) afternoon. The schedule features six home games and five road games for the upcoming season.
The schedule features games against four NCAA Playoff teams and another that will be a first-time meeting.
The first game of the season will feature a Mavericks vs. Mavericks matchup at Stocker Stadium. Colorado Mesa will host NSIC power Minnesota State on Thursday August 27 at 6:00 PM to open the season. First, it will be the return trip to Portales, N.M. to take on Eastern New Mexico on Saturday, September 5. It will be Eastern New Mexico head coach Art Briles' first home game in Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
Colorado Mesa will open the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference season in week two of the season when they travel to Rapid City, S.D. for a matchup with South Dakota Mines.

They will be on the road against CSU Pueblo on September 26 before returning home against Chadron State on October 3. The RMAC mandated bye week comes during week six of the season which is October 10.
The Mavericks will play three of their final five games at home with the two final road games being their shortest trips of the season.

A Halloween afternoon kickoff will feature the Mavericks taking on New Mexico Highlands at Stocker Stadium on Saturday October 31. You can expect many different spooky promotions with the possibility of a special surprise in the game.
