GUNNISON, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa men's wrestling team competed in the 33^rd annual Tracy Borah Duals on Saturday (Jan. 6) afternoon in Mountaineer Fieldhouse. The Mavericks went a perfect 3-0 on the day picking up two important Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference wins along the way.
 
Colorado Mesa 43, New Mexico Highlands 7
The Mavericks started the day by winning eight of the ten bouts in a 43-7 win over New Mexico Highlands in a RMAC neutral site dual. All eight of the Maverick wins went for bonus points including five pins.
 
Oran Huff (133), Denim Torgerson (141), Juan Garcia (149), Jason Bynarowicz (184) and Gabe Carranza (197) all earned wins by pin.
 
Tyler Doyle earned a technical fall win at 285 pounds over Jayden Johnson while Gus Dalton picked up a major decision win at 174 pounds.

In their second dual of the day, the Mavericks benefitted from four forfeit victories in a lopsided 43-7 non-conference win over Findlay from Ohio. Colorado Mesa won four of the six contested bouts along the way with three of those going for bonus points.
 
Tanner Baumgartner picked up a major decision victory over Gary Nilson at 165 pounds followed by a Gus Dalton pin of Kenny Snyder at the 2:18 mark of the match at 174 pounds.
 
Tyler Doyle closed the dual with a 41 second pin of Giulian Bodiu at 285 pounds.

The Mavericks closed out the day with another lopsided dual win as they won eight of the ten matches in a 47-11 win over first year RMAC school Simon Fraser. The win moves the Mavericks to 3-0 in RMAC duals and 5-0 on the season.
 
Oran Huff (133), Denim Torgerson (141), Gus Dalton (174), Jason Bynarowicz (184), and Gabe Carranza (197) all picked up wins by fall while Juan Garcia earned a technical fall win over Ryan Hicks at 149 pounds.
 
Dayson Torgerson and Tyler Doyle each won by forfeit.
