2024-25 (Junior): Redshirt season…  Posted a 9-8 record in four open tournaments, wrestling at 157 pounds in three of them and at 149 in the last… Had five wins by fall.

2023-24 (Sophomore): Posted a 14-14 record as the Mavs’ top man at 149 pounds… Finished 3-3 at the NCAA Super Regional VI to place sixth… Started the season with a second place finish at the Mines Rookie Open… Also went 2-2 at the Midwest Classic… Had a 4-6 dual record, including a 3-5 mark in RMAC duals… Had two pims by fall and six by bonus point margins.

Before CMU: Wrestled at NCAA Division III Wisconsin-LaCrosse as a freshman in 2022-23… Was a NWCA Scholar All-American… Posted a 16-7 record while splitting time between 133 and 141 pounds… Won a tournament… Helped the team post a 13-3 dual meet record before winning the WIAC Championships… The Eagles went on to place second at the NCAA Regionals and fifth at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Prep: 2022 graduate or Roosevelt High School… Went 23-4 and placed third at the state tournament as a senior… Had also placed third as a freshman during a 42-9 season… Finished second at folkstyle nationals that year… Was also a top 16 finisher at Fargo.

Personal: Is majoring in public accounting… Son of Nyree and Jorge Garcia… Has two brothers— Jake and Michael… Hobbies are fishing, spikeball, lifting and video games.
