September 14^th through September 17^th our CMU cycling track team traveled to Trexlertown, Pennsylvania to compete in USA cycling track nationals.

Thursday morning started with the 200m Sprint tournament qualification for the Men and Women followed by the Team Pursuits.

CMU qualified 6 women for the sprint tournament (all within the top 10) and 4 men in the Top 18. The CMU women's Team Pursuit (Katie Clouse, Olivia Cummins, Kate Seiler and Mia Aseltine) finished the 4k in a time of 5:00.294 beating rivals Marian University by a little over 3 seconds. The men's team pursuit was not able to defend their title from the past two years and finished third behind Marian and Milligan.

Thursday afternoon-  sprint tournament continued with Olivia Cummins on the podium in 3^rd place closely followed by her teammate Mia Deye in 4^th and Katie Clouse in 5^th. CMU placed 6 women in the top 12.

In the men's tournament CMU's placed Sindre Brein in 9^th place followed by Luke Elphingstone in 12^th.

Friday morning- our men's team competed in Men's Pursuit 4km final. Sindre Brein placed 4^th with a total time of 4:43.025. Brockton Smith came in 5^th place with a time of 4:44.959. That same morning our women's team competed in Women's 500m final. Mia Deye came in 3^rd place with a time of 37.781, in 4^th place was Olivia Cummins with a total time of 38.121. 

Friday night- men's team competed in Men's Scratch race minor 6km final. Luke Elphingstone placed 3^rd. Our men's team also competed in Men's Scratch race major 12km final. Sindre Brein was back at it in 7^th. Our women's team was also back at it in the Women's Scratch race 8km final. Olivia Cummins once again performed well and placed 2^nd. 

Saturday morning- our men's team competed in Men's 1000m final. Sindre Brein placed 7^th with a total time of 1:07.961. On our women's side, we competed in Women's Pursuit 3km. Kate Seiler, Olivia Cummins, and Katie Clouse performed very well. Kate Seiler finished in 3^rd place with a total time of 3:55.854. Olivia Cummins placed 4^th with a total time of 3:59.830. Not even a full second later we have Katie Clouse who placed 5^th with a total time of 4:00.413. 

Saturday night- the team competed in the last session of the weekend. On our men's side, we competed in Men's Points Race 30km final. Luke Elphingstone placed 13^th, and Oliver Boyd right after in 14^th place. On our women's side we competed in Women's Point race 20km final. Kate Seiler took home 1^st place and earned hers and the team's second National Championship win of the season. In that same race, Olivia Cummins placed 5^th and Katie Clouse placed 6^th. With the last event for the weekend our cycling team competed in Co-Ed Team Sprint. Racing for the CMU cycling team was Henry Mcalvanah, Grant Lampson, Sindre Brein, Iver Skaarseth, Olivia Cummins, and Mia Deye. The team completed the race with a total time of 2:14.617 and took home 2^nd place.
