COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the All-Academic team for baseball on Monday (Apr. 25) afternoon. Colorado Mesa's
Spencer Bramwell was named the RMAC Academic Player of the Year and was joined on the first team by two teammates.
To qualify for the RMAC Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.30 GPA, complete two semesters (or three quarters) at their current institution and be using a year of eligibility.
Senior
Spencer Bramwell was named the RMAC Academic Player of the Year after maintaining a 3.606 GPA and earning his degree in Health and Fitness Promotion. This season, Bramwell is batting .372 with 12 doubles, 17 home runs and 47 runs driven in while splitting his time between catcher and third base. This past weekend, he had his second three home run game of his career to help the Mavericks sweep New Mexico Highlands in a four-game series.
The San Clemente, Calif. native is now a three-time RMAC All-Academic Team recipient after being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American team in 2020 and the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team a year ago.
Second baseman
Harrison Rodgers was named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team after an honorable mention nod in 2021. Rodgers has a 3.886 GPA and is studying sport management. The sophomore is batting .352 with nine doubles, three triples and 12 home runs this season. He was named the National Player of the Week after the first week of the season after hitting six home runs in the season-opening series with nationally ranked Azusa Pacific.
Redshirt junior
Blake Rohm was named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team in his first season of eligibility. The Broomfield product has a perfect 4.0 GPA and is studying Business Economics. He is 5-1 with a 2.43 ERA on the mound for the Mavericks this season. He has struck out 40 batters in 33 and a third innings including a season-high 10 strikeouts in a win over Mines.
Colorado Mesa also had 11 players named to the honor roll.
