On Friday night before a large crowd CMU Hockey won twice. They won a high-scoring game against UCCS 13-6.
The team also won by presenting a check during the 1
st Intermission for a yearly record of $22,000 raised during their 6
th Annual Pink the Rink to the St. Mary's Cancer Assistance Fund.
Across 6 years of the event the team has now raised a total of over $100,000 for the charity.
The game was a spirited affair with CMU outshooting their opponent 73 to 27.
The Mavericks 13 goals came from numerous players.
Mason Ripley,
Kevin Miller,
Bryson Sutterby, and
Seth Kern each scored twice. Single tallies went to:
Eli Wilson,
Ben Pedigo,
Mitchell Rodvold,,
Alex Alexiev, and
Shjon Kern.
Joey Voyles, Miller, Sutterby, and Pedigo also added two assists each. Goalie
Chris McElroy backstopped the win.
The Mavericks, standing at 10-7 on the season, are away at Colorado College this weekend to close out the semester before picking up in late January with 3 home weekends.
