Complete ResultsGUNNISON, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University indoor track and field team returned to action with two school records, two provisional marks and two wins at The Shootout hosted at Western State Saturday (Jan. 16).
Nolan Ellis broke the school record and earned a Div. II provisional mark with a leap of 15-3.5 in the pole vault.
Andy Bowles finished second in the 60 hurdles with a school record time of 8.70. He finished third in the high jump with a leap of 6-0.75.
Trevor Jensen set a new school record in the weight throw with a toss of 48-11.75 to finish fourth.Â
John Cusick had to settle for second after being out-leaned at the line in the mile. He finished in a provisional qualifying time of 4:26.26.
The Maverick women won two events.
Heidi Weber won the 400 (59.15), and
Bacall Sterling won the high jump (5-1).
Danielle Pickert finished second in the women's shot put (38-8.25), and Tervor Jensen was third in the men's (44-5.25).
Peter Greco placed second in the men's long jump (19-9), and
Breanna Royer was third in the women's long jump (17-5.25).
Alexia Chapman was second in the 800 (2:19.44), and
Lauren Lipski was second in the 3,000 (11:10.24).
