2019 Outdoor (Redshirt Senior): Competed in the shot put and hammer throw at four meets, including the RMAC Championships... Finished sixth in the hammer throw (42.13m/138-3) and 10th in the shot put (11.66m/38-3.25)... Had season-best throws of 44.72 (146-9) and 11.72 meters (38-5.5) earlier in the season at the Fum McGraw Open and Spank Blasing Invite earlier in the season.
2018-19 Indoor (Redshirt Senior): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships... Finished 14th in the weight throw after qualifying thanks to a school-record breaking throw of 15.58 meters (51-1.5) a week earlier at the Western Colorado Open on Feb. 16... Also had a season-best mark of 11.34 meters (37-2.5) in the shot put at Western.
2017-18 (Senior): Redshirted during both the indoor and outdoor season.
2017 Outdoor (Junior): Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors with a fourth place finish in the shot put with a school-record throw of 12.68 meters (41-7.25) at the RMAC Championships... Also took 15th in the hammer throw at that meet (42.00m/137-9)... Competed in seven meets...Had other season-bests of 30.74m (100-10) in the discus and 45.13m (148-1) in the hammer... The hammer-throw mark is a career-best and ranks her fourth in program history.
2016-17 Indoor (Junior): Competed in four meets...Posted season-bests of 11.84m (38-10.25) in the shot put and 14.65m (48-0.75) in the weight throw at the Western State Alumni Open, finishing third in each.... Placed 11th in the weight throw (14.06m/46-1.5) and 13th in the shot put (11.41m/37-5.25) in the shot put at the RMAC Championships.
2016 Outdoor (Sophomore): Finished 15th in the hammer (41.50m/136-2), 17th in the shot put (10.99m/36-0.75) and 20th in the discus (30.90m/101-4) at the RMAC Championships... Turned in season-bests of 11.81m (38-9) in the shot put, 31.70m (104-0) in the discus throw, 42.25m (138-7) in the hammer throw and 27.69m (90-10) in the javelin throw... Competed in six different meets.
2015-16 Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in both throwing events at five different meets.. Finished 14th in the shot put (11.82m/38-9.5) and 17th in the weight throw (13.05m/42-9.75) at the RMAC Championships...Set a former school-record of 12.02 meters (39-5.25) in the shot put... Still ranks second in program history with that mark... Had a season-best of 13.06 (42-10.25) in the weight throw.
2015 Outdoor (Freshman): Placed 14th in the shot put, 16th in the discus and 22nd in the hammer throw at the RMAC Championships... Posted season-bests of 11.83m (38-9.75) in the shot put, 32.77 (107-6) in the discus and 35.50m (116-6) in the hammer throw... The discus mark is a career-best... Won the shot put at the Maroon Classic with that mark... Competed in five total meets.
2014-15 Indoor (Freshman): Finished 15th in the shot put and 17th in the weight throw at the RMAC Championships... Competed in six meets... Had season-bests of 11.37m (37-3.75) in the shot put and 13.15m (43-1.75) in the weight throw.
Prep: Won the 2014 Northern/Tri Valley Conference title in the shot put as a senior with the Berthoud HS Spartans... Was coached by Link Lanter... Went on to finish 15th at the 4A State Championships... Had a high-school best of 34-3.75 to win the Don Osse Lakewood Tiger Invitational... Set a high school best of 88-11 in the discus as a junior in 2013.
Personal: Is majoring in exercise science with aspirations on continuing her education in the physical therapy or sports medicine fields... Older siblings are Chad Pickert and Megan Fernandez.
Why I Chose CMU: "I fell in love with the campus and the location almost immediately. The academic programs here as well as the athletic program is what really drew me in."
