COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— The Colorado Mesa University men's 4x100-meter relay squad of
Amaris Mora,
Joseph Randolph,
Marik Cummings and
Teo Casados have been named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Men's Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week, the conference has announced.
The Maverick quartet smashed the school and facility records with a time of 39.62 seconds last Friday during the Maverick Early Bird Open. The time is the third fastest in conference history and was an incredible 0.59 seconds quicker than the Mavs' former school record of 40.21 that Mora, Cummings and Casados were part of en route to a silver medal at the 2025 RMAC Championships.
The mark also smashed the former CMU Track & Field Complex record of 40.34 seconds, set by UCCS at the 2024 conference meet.
Even with the altitude conversion that puts the Mavs at 39.74 seconds on the NCAA Division II performance list, the Mavericks lead the country by 0.19 seconds.
