Sarah Pope. On Sunday, the Mavericks dropped a 2-0 decision to Angelo State who is now ranked in the top 25. The Mavericks were limited to only seven shots but all came on net.
OPPONENTSThe Mavericks play host to Colorado Mines this weekend where they are 2-10-1 all-time. They have not won against the Orediggers since October 22, 2007 and are 0-10-1 in that time span. Then on Sunday, they take on Colorado Christian where they are 6-2-2 in their last ten matches against the Cougars.

Bailey Zehr have proven to be threats to score in the early portion of the schedule. Even though they have not scored yet, they have accounted for over 50 percent of the total shots by the team with Pope leading the way with 13 shots.
GOALS ALLOWEDThrough four matches a year ago, the Mavericks allowed 10 goals. Through four matches this season, they have allowed six goals. Three of those goals came to Midwestern State.Â

Janelle Richmond-Buccola has played every minute in net for the Mavericks. She picked up her first shutout in the 0-0 tie with Dallas Baptist. She has made 22 saves in goal and has a 1.42 goals against average.

RMAC PRESEASON POLLThe Mavericks were picked ninth in the preseason coaches poll after finishing in tenth place last season. Colorado Mesa was picked ahead of Adams State, Colorado Christian and RMAC newcomer Westminster. The top six teams qualify for the RMAC Tournament in November.
