BILLINGS, Mont. – The Colorado Mesa University men's and women's tennis teams each picked up 8-1 wins at MSU-Billings Saturday (April 11).
The women opened the watch with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
Emily Dodson and
Amy Beeston defeated Morgan Opp and Jade Goodyear-Anderson 9-7.
Natalie Martin and
Katie Kirby earned an 8-2 win at No. 3.
The Mavericks completed the win with a sweep of all six singles matches.
The men won all three doubles matches.
Jordan Lyden and
Spencer Weinberg earned a 9-7 win at No. 1 over Santiago de la Rosa and Austin Kische.
Andres Garcia Rojas and
Cody Freischlag won 8-1 at No. 2 and
Peter Hartvigsen and Ben Schlitchting won at No. 3 by default.
The men won five of six singles with the one loss coming at No. 5.
CMU will host CSU-Pueblo April 18
th in the final home of the season for the Mavericks.Â
