GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's basketball team will open the 2026-27 in the Hawaiian Islands for the Hoops in Hawaii Tip-Off Classic as announced by head coach
Taylor Wagner.
The Hoops in Hawaii Tip-Off Classic is a traditional eight-team bracket format that will run from Oct. 30 – Nov. 1 with each team playing one game on each day. The tournament is set to take place at Chaminade University.
Joining the Mavericks at the Hoops in Hawaii tournament is host Chaminade, Alaska Anchorage, Lubbock Christian, Hawaii Pacific, St. Mary's, Western Colorado and Winona State. Further details including matchups and game times will be available in the near future.
