GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.— Colorado Mesa University's
Anju Ogi posted a Sunday round score of 74, equal to the best of the day and her best of the season, as she finished third while leading the Colorado Mesa University women's golf team to a second place finish at the Maverick Challenge here at The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa.
The Mavericks posted a team score of 312 in Sunday's second round and finished the tournament at 636 (+60), just three shots behind Westminster University, which also had the top two individual finishers.
The Griffins' Ashley Lam defended her 2025 individual title finishing Sunday's round with a 76 (+4)) and a 36-hole total of 151 (+7). Her teammate Remi Rawlings was two shots behind at 153 (+9) after carding a 74 to match Ogi, who was right behind at 154 (+10).
Maverick sophomore Hutner Gledhill also managed a top five finish, tying for fourth at 159 (+15) after posting a 76 on Sunday.
Three other Mavericks also finished inside the top ten as
Hayden Hawley, the Mavs' top player on Saturday, slipped back to eighth with a 36-hole total of 161 (+17) after recording an 82 (+10) on Sunday.
Libby Bourassa was just one place and one shot further back at 162 (+18) and registered an 80 (+8) on Sunday.
Mackenzie Goudreau, playing as an individual, tied for tenth at 165 (+21) and finished with an 84.
Chadron State finished third in the team standings at 660 (+44) while Adams State was a distant fourth at 785 (+209).
All four teams will join the rest of the conference at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, which begin next Sunday in Boulder City, Nevada.
