Eisenhauer earns second RMAC weekly honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their weekly Player and Pitcher of the Week for baseball on Tuesday (Mar. 31) afternoon. Colorado Mesa pitcher Jackson Eisenhauer was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week after his performance against Colorado School of Mines.

Eisenhauer pitched five shutout innings in a win over the Orediggers. The Los Angeles, Calif. native allowed two hits, a walk and struck out four with Mines hitting just .118 off him. He retired nine in a row from the final out of the first inning to the second out of the fourth inning.

For the season, he is 4-1 with a 2.48 ERA in 32.2 innings pitched. He is tied for the team lead with 34 strikeouts and opponents are batting .262 against him.

This is the second time this season that Eisenhauer has won the RMAC Pitcher of the Week award. It is the fourth time this season a Maverick pitcher has earned the award and the fifth time overall with a Colorado Mesa player earned a weekly award.

Eisenhauer and the Mavericks will head to Alamosa this week for a four-game series with Adams State beginning on Thursday due to the Easter Weekend.
