COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Colorado Mesa University wrestlers
Gabriel Carranza,
Owen Cline and
AJ Hague were all named to the 2025-26 All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams which were announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon.
Carranza was a first team pick at 197 pounds while Hague and Cline both claimed second team plaudits at 133 and 157 pounds, respectively.
The awardees were nominated by and selected by a vote of the RMAC's seven head coaches.
Carranza, a redshirt senior out of Victorville, California, has a 15-4 overall record this year and went 5-1 in RMAC duals this season. He also moved up one spot to seventh in latest edition of the National Wrestling Coaches Association NCAA Division II Rankings, which were also released on Thursday. He has won six out of his last seven matches. He also placed fourth at the prestigious Midwest Classic before the holiday break.
Cline, a redshirt junior from Orting, Washington, is 9-2 overall this season and also went 5-1 in RMAC duals. He is also tabbed seventh in the NWCA Rankings a 157 pounds.
Hague, a redshirt freshman from Brighton, Colorado, has posted a 14-6 overall record and went 4-1 in RMAC duals at 133 pounds after competing in tournaments at 141 pounds in the first half of the season.
The Mavericks, who currently sit 21
st in the national rankings as a team, will compete at next week's NCAA Division II Super Region VI Championships in Golden, Colorado. The top three wrestlers in each weight class will advance to the NCAA Division II Championships on Mar. 13-14 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
