GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.— The Colorado Mesa University women's golf team will play its fourth tournament of the fall season and for the second straight week, when the Mavericks make the trip to Rapid City, South Dakota for the Hardrocker Fall Invite.
The 36-hole tournament, hosted by South Dakota Mines, will be played at The Golf Club at Red Rock on Monday and Tuesday.
Eight teams, including five Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference squads are slated to compete.
Monday's round will begin with tee times, starting at 9:30 a.m. A shotgun start for Tuesday's round is slated for 10 a.m.

Last Time Out
The Mavericks were in action this past Monday and Tuesday at the Nick Turner Invitational in Durango, Colorado. They took fourth out of six teams with a final team score of 625 (+49) and posted rounds of 312 and 313.
Maverick sophomore
Hayden Hawley led the Mavs with an eighth place finish and 36-hole score of 151 (+7). She posted the team's best score on both days, recording a 77 on Monday and a 74 in Tuesday's round.

Who's Competing
Like she did for the previous event, Maverick Head Coach
Kori Satterfield has entered seven golfers into the tournament, five of whom will play for the team in addition to two individuals.
The 5-woman team group is the same as the previous tournament and once again includes
Hayden Hawley,
Libby Bourassa,
Hunter Gledhill,
Allison Sanger and
McKenzie Dolph. Freshman
Brooke Brekke and
Lilyanna Hathaway will once again be the individuals.
The Competition
The field of eight teams will feature five Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference squads as well one from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in MSU Billings. Two junior college squads from Eastern Wyoming College and Garden City Community College.
The RMAC contingent is made of the host Hardrockers, the Mavs as well as Black Hills State, Chadron State and MSU Denver.
Career-Best & Scoring Streak
Maverick fifth-year player
Libby Bourassa turned in the best round and best 36-hole tournament score of her CMU career on Tuesday in Durango. The Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada native posted a second round score of 77 and finished the tournament with a 36-hole total of 156.
Bourassa's previous low round was a 78 in the opening round of last season's RMAC Championships. Her previous 36-hole best was 157 at the Mavs' previous tournament— the Wasatch Invitational. Her best tournament score from last season was 162.
Bourassa has now posted four straight rounds in the 70's, lowering her season scoring averaged to 79.57. She had just two such rounds out of 18 last season.
Extensive Travelers
The Mavericks' five tournaments this fall are in five different states. The Mavericks have already ventured to Wyoming and Utah and stayed in Colorado for their first three tournaments.
This trip to South Dakota will be the Mavs' first since 2013, when the Mavs took second out of 12 teams at the RMAC #2 event hosted by Black Hills State in Spearfish.
The Mavs will then conclude the fall season in Nevada.

The Mavericks will wrap up the fall season at the Las Vegas Classic between Oct. 30-Nov. 1. That will be played at the Boulder Creek Golf Course, which will also play host to the RMAC Championships in the spring.
