The Mavericks had their final games before winter break against the Mountaineers. With only two games to go before break, the Mavs wanted to finish the fall season strong. In Game 1, the Mavericks would put up double-digits with multiple goal scorers. The game would start with a 4 goal first period with goals coming from Bryson Sutterby, Mason Ripley, Tristen Brooks, and Everest Samter. The Mavs decided to ride the momentum into the second period, adding another 7 goals to the scoresheet. The goals would come from Ethan Levesque who put two goals behind the keeper, Shjon Kern, Bryson Sutterby completing his hattrick, Everest Samter scoring his second goal in the game, and Evan Wagner. The Mavericks would score 5 more times in the third with goals from Tristen Brooks, Ethan Gotchey, Mason Holler, Bryson Sutterby for the fourth time, and Everest Samter would complete his first career hattrick. Freshman Goaltender John Hickam would complete his first career shutout as the Mavs took the 16-0 win. 
 
In Game 2, the Mavericks would complete another double-digit game, scoring 6 in the first period with goals coming from Brooks, Gotchey, Larry Simmons, Ben Pedigo, Noah Dalton, Ryan Koch. In the Second, the Mavs would find the back of the net another 4 times with goals coming from Connor Hassesnstab, Wagner, Samter, and Ryan Clyncke. To finish up their last away game for the season the Mavs would add 5 more goals coming from Brooks, Sutterby, Holler, Wagner, and Hassenstab. Freshman Goaltender Joseph Keagy got his first and only career start earning a shutout. 
 
The Mavs are heading into winter break and will take some time off before returning to the ice at home for 5 straight games with the new stands ready to go!
