ST. GEORGE, Utah— The Utah Tech University Trailblazers won every match in an inter-divisional 7 -0 women's tennis victory over the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks on Saturday here at the Trailblazer Tennis Courts.
The NCAA Division I Trailblazers improved to 5-7 win the win while Division II Mavs fell to 7-8 with their third straight match.
The Trailblazers swept the three doubles matches to gain the early advantage and then swept all six singles affairs.
The Mavs did win two singles sets with freshman
Devyn Rodriguez getting a 7-5 opening-set win over Ana Guiterrez Sampere in the second flight before Sampere rallied to win the second set, 6-3 and take the match tie-breaker, 10-0.

Julianna Campos also won the second set over Ya-Chi Hsu at No. 5 singles, but was downed 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (10-6).
The Mavericks will now prepare for their most important trip of the season, when they will play five Pacific West Conference opponents in four days, starting Mar. 18 at Cal State LA. The results of that trip through California will have a large impact on the Mavs' PacWest Tournament qualification hopes.
