LAS VEGAS, N.M.— Kirstin Williams recorded her second straight all-conference performance as the Colorado Mesa University Maverick women placed six runners in the top 40 of the individual standings en route to a solid seventh place team finish at Saturday's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships contested here over nearly six kilometers at the Gene Torres Golf Course.
The Mavs have now finished seventh as a team at the last two RMAC Championships, which featured eight nationally-ranked teams amongst the 15 overall teams.
Williams completed what ended up being a 5.8-kilometer course in a time of 21 minutes, 6.2 seconds to place 20
th overall. She earned Second Team All-RMAC honors that go to the 15
th-28
th place finishers. The St. George, Utah was a 13
th place finisher a year ago and garnered first team all-conference plaudits.
On Saturday, she had lots of company as the next five Maverick finishers all finished within 18 seconds of one another and between 31
st and 40
th place.
Kendall White led that bunch, placing 31
st overall and 30
th amongst team scorers in 21:40.7. Redshirt freshman
Quin Gregg was 35
th in 21:55.5 while Kate Lindstedt was two spots back in 21:56.5.

Shirley Weaver also contributed to the Mavs' team finish, taking 39
th overall and 38
th amongst team scorers in 21:57.3
Megan Hodges was a place and 1.4 seconds further back, taking 40
th in 21:58.7.
Sophomore
Autumn McQuitty (54

Lauren Hodges (61
st, 22:36.2) also finished near the middle of the 117-runner field.
Adams State's Ava O'Connor won the individual title in 19:28.3 while leading her top-ranked Grizzlies to a fourth straight RMAC title with 30 points. National poll No. 3 CSU Pueblo was second with 88 points while 11
th-ranked UCCS finished third with 95 points.
Seventh-ranked Western Colorado was fourth with 100 points while No. 23 Fort Lewis took fifth with 129 points. Fourth-ranked Colorado School of Mines was sixth with 151 points, just seven better than the Mavs, who in turn were well ahead of MSU Denver (204) and the rest of the field, including No. 18 Colorado Christian, which finished 11
th.
The Maverick men took eighth as a team in an earlier race.
CMU will next run at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships on Nov. 9 in Denver.
