Black Hills State and South Dakota Mines joined MSU Denver with 3-1 starts.
RMAC Poll
The Mavericks were also ranked third in the RMAC's Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released on Aug. 15. The Mavs received 169 points in that poll, which asked RMAC coaches to rank their opponents 1-14 without voting for their own squad. The Mavs also received one first place vote.
