COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their All-Academic team for baseball on Thursday (Apr. 27) afternoon. Colorado Mesa had a total of 17 student-athletes qualify for the honor with two standouts earning First Team recognition.
To be eligible for the RMAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a 3.50 GPA to qualify for First Team and a 3.30 for honorable mention, have completed two semesters at their current school and be using a season of eligibility.
Junior
Harrison Rodgers was named to the First Team and collected RMAC Academic Player of the Year accolades as well. Rodgers, a sport management major with a 3.917 GPA, is picking up his third RMAC academic honor after earning first team honors in 2022. He was also a CSC Third Team Academic All-American in 2022 and has earned two All-RMAC awards for his play on the field to boot.
This season, the San Diego native is batting .367 with 14 doubles, 10 home runs and 50 runs driven in.
Anthony Durbano was named to the First Team for the first time in his career. He is earning his degree in Business Administration with a 3.793 GPA and was an All-RMAC First Team selection in 2021. He missed the entire 2022 season but has bounced back with a 4-0 record with a 3.00 ERA in 24 innings pitched with five saves.
This is his second RMAC academic honor after earning honorable mention accolades in 2021.
