COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced their player and pitcher of the week on Tuesday (Mar. 28) morning. Colorado Mesa's
David Craig was named the RMAC pitcher of the week for his outing against Colorado Christian last Friday.
Craig, making his first start of the season, allowed just four hits, walked three and struck out five in six innings of work to start the series off in game one. He improved to 3-0 with the win.
The win also gave Colorado Mesa head coach
Chris Hanks his 1,000
th win of his career.
He becomes the third player honored for player of the week honors but becomes the first pitcher the Mavercks have had earn the award.
Craig and the Mavericks will host Regis this weekend in a four-game series at The Diamond beginning on Friday.
