UNVEILING: The Brown Family Golf Performance Center

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa golf teams helped unveil their new facility as the Brown Family Golf Performance Center had a ribbon cutting at Lincoln Park Golf Course this afternoon.
 
The ribbon cutting featured major stakeholders from both the City of Grand Junction and Colorado Mesa with speeches from Jay Valentine, mayor Duke Wortman, Colorado Mesa president Tim Foster and head men's golf coach Scott Sullivan. Players from both teams were on-hand along with a small crowd from other community members and stakeholders in the facility.

Hitting Bays

The indoor facility, named after former coach Paul Brown who has dedicated countless time and energy to improving golf in the Grand Valley, features three hitting bays that can be used during the winter along with a projector that could be used in one bay of conditions are too bad. One bay will be utilized by the city staff at Lincoln Park for lessons and weather situations as they present themselves.

Golf Lockers 

The Performance Center also includes a locker room for both programs, wash and re-grip station and an office for both coaches to utilize. The locker room features wooden locker stations for all players and a meeting/lounge area in the middle.
