Menzies Named to NABC Division II All-America Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Tuesday (Mar. 23) the 2020-21 NABC Division II All-America Team. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in Division II, these 16 student-athletes represent the most outstanding basketball players across America in NCAA Division II.

After claiming NABC All-West Region First Team honors last week, Ethan Menzies added to his season accolades earning 2020-21 NABC Division II All-America status, along with 16 other Division II basketball student-athletes across the nation, and was just one of three sophomores on the list.

Menzies a 6-foot-7, forward out of Half Moon Bay completed his second season with the Mavericks helping them to a No. 1 ranking in the final NABC polls. He averaged 15.9 points and 7.8 rebounds to lead the team, while tallying 29 blocked shots to average just over a block per game. His efforts landed him on the All-RMAC First Team and put up a 23-points, seven rebounds and three blocks in a 75-74 overtime win to help the Mavs claim back-to-back RMAC Tournament titles and nod for the tournaments Most Valuable Player.
