Men's Basketball Announces Extra Camp Dates

The Colorado Mesa men's basketball team is pleased to announce the addition of some additional camps this summer and fall. The Mavericks are excited to take a leading role in providing quality and affordable basketball instruction for the Grand Valley now offered year around.

Youth Day Camp (July 29-August 2)
This camp is designed to provide key instructional concepts for each age group delivered in a variety of ways including drills, competitions and games. Instructional areas to be covered include shooting, ball handling, passing and defensive positioning.

High School Team Camp (September 14)
Teams will be placed in groups of eight and play out a consolation and championship bracket. All teams will be guaranteed three games completed in one day. Teams are pooled together by gender, level and size of school among those teams that sign up. Attempts are made to avoid grouping conference opponents, but cannot be guaranteed.

Prospect Camps (August 4, October 12, March 28, May 17)
This camp will focus on concepts and drills necessary to compete in the CMU system. In addition, this camp will give players the opportunity to play against other athletes within CMU's base concepts and be evaluated by the CMU coaching staff.
**NOTE: The August 4 Prospect Camp will be held at Vista Peak High School in Aurora**

A series of Sunday camps will also be offered throughout the year as well. These camps are designed to provide key instructional concepts for each age group delivered in a variety of ways including drills, competitions and games. Instructional areas to be covered include shooting, ball handling, passing and defensive positioning.
