GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - CMU hockey played host to two games against Western State Colorado University and were exceptional as they swept Western 2-0. From the moment the puck dropped in Fridays night game CMU was unstoppable. It took less than a minute for
Gage Sealey to score the first goal for CMU and ignite the plethora of goals that followed. Despite Western's best efforts they could not find a way to stop the onslaught as multiple athletes had multiple assists and goals.
Dalton Klein lead the charge scoring three goals while fellow teammates
Chase Engdahl,
Marcus Eliasson,
Jason McGregor,
Bradley Render and
Cooper Blevins each scored two goal and
Hunter Schoepflin,
Cooper Blevins and Sealey contributed with one goal each. The Mavs were able to keep Western of the board finishing Friday's game with a 16-0 score.
For Saturday's game Western looked to come back from that lost but CMU had other things in mind. Three minutes and twenty-five second into the first period Blevins scores and soon after more players followed his lead. Klein again lead the pack as he scored three goals. Blevins, Schoepflin and
Dillon Ventola scored two goals each with fellow teammates
