PHOENIX - The Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team lost a pair of matches Friday (Feb. 17) to open the Spring season.
Colorado Mesa opened the day with a 9-0 loss to Western New Mexico.
The Mavericks lost all three doubles matches by identical 8-4 scores.
CMU dropped three singles matches in three sets.
Liam Fraboulet defeated Max Lindquist 6-0, 2-6, 10-6 at No. 2.
Tristian Da Lio earned a 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 win over
Alain De La Bastide at No. 5, and Oliver Lindquist fell 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 at No. 5.
Colorado Mesa closed the day with a 7-2 loss at Arizona Christian.
Both of the Maverick's wins came in doubles.
Cody Freischlag and
Max Lindqvist won 9-7 at No. 2, and
Lucas Martin and
Alain De La Bastide won 9-7 at No. 3.
Colorado Mesa (4-4) will play two matches Saturday (Feb. 18).
