Mavs Continue Home Stand

? 6-0 START: Colorado Mesa is off to a great start this season, jumping out to a 6-0 record through their first four games. The last time the Mavericks started 6-0 was during the 2013-14 season where they reached the South Central Region Championship Game, losing to West Texas A&M 59-56.

? HOME COOKIN': Brownson Arena is a true home court advantage for the women's basketball team during head coach Taylor Wagner's tenure. The Mavericks have won 93 percent (69-5) of their home games with Wagner at the helm.

? HUSTLE PLAYS: Junior newcomer Sydni Brandon switched positions during the Thanksgiving break, moving from the point to a wing. The move has paid dividends early. Brandon had 10 rebounds in the two games with six of those coming on the offensive end.

? THE BENCH: The Mavericks finally had a game where the bench produced points in the win over Northern New Mexico. The bench scored 44 of Colorado Mesa's 92 points in the win led by the nine of Sierra McNicol.

? RIVALRY GAME: The Mavericks are 9-0 against Western State under head coach Taylor Wagner.

? HISTORY WITH WESTMINSTER: Colorado Mesa is 3-1 against Westminster under Wagner. The Griffins haven't had the success they achieved as an NAIA school but have played the Mavericks tough recently.
