GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The Colorado Mesa women's golf team finished in a tie for eighth place with Cal State San Marcos at the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Sept. 20) at The Golf Club at Estrella.
The Mavericks shaved eight strokes off of their day one total with a 299 in today's final round. It was the fifth best score of the day, helping the team finish as the top RMAC school in the field.
Sophomore
Megan Liborio led the Mavericks after finishing in a tie for seventh place with a 3-over, 147. Liborio made a move up the leaderboard after shooting a 1-under, 71 in today's final round. She opened the tournament with a 4-over, 76.
Sophomore
Ashlyn Kirschner and freshman
Randi Kim finished in a tie for 19
th with a 7-over, 151.
Tarleton State won the tournament shooting an 8-over, 584.
Regis' Mary Weinstein won the individual medalist honor with a 3-under, 141.
The Mavericks will be back in action on October 3-4 at the Dixie State Invitational.
