SILVER CITY, N.M. – The Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team fell 5-1 to Western New Mexico University on Friday April 8.
 
CMU got swept in doubles.

The closest match came from the No. 1 team of Spencer Weinberg and Andres Garcia-Rojas. They lost to Tristan Da Lio and Vladamir Gnilozubov 8-5.
 
Spencer Weinberg got the lone win for the Mavericks at No. 1 singles. He defeated Jean-Laurent Pageault 7-6 (6), 6-4.
 
The Mustangs won at No. 2 and 3 to clinch. The remaining matches remained unfinished due to rain.
 
Colorado Mesa will play at home this weekend (April 15-16) against Metro State and CSU-Pueblo.
