GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team played their final home match of the season and came away with a 7-2 victory over CSU-Pueblo on Saturday (April 16).
 
Spencer Weinberg and Andres Garcia-Rojas came away with an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles. They both carried their strong play into singles. Garcia-Rojas defeated Steven Alcala 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 and Weinberg won in a ten-point tiebreak 6-7 (5), 7-5, 10-6 against Siggy Menzel.
 
Cody Freischlag and Trevor Brown saw the same results. At No. 2 doubles they won 8-6. In singles, Freischlag posted a 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 victory over Marcelo Chaparro at No. 3 and Trevor Brown defeated Ryan Ray 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.
 
Max Lindqvist won 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
 
The Mavericks' only two losses came from No. 3 doubles and No. 4 singles.
 
Colorado Mesa travels to Pueblo this weekend (April 22-23) for the RMAC Tournament.
