Complete Results in PDFGUNNISON, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University women's distance medley relay team lowered the school record by over 19 seconds at the Western State Open Saturday (Feb. 20). The team of
Alexia Chapman,
Heidi Weber,
Ally Tapp and
Lauren Lipski finished second in a time of 12:27.73.
Gabriella Casey raised her school record in the pole vault with a winning jump of 11-0.25.
Ellie Carrillo finished second in the pole vault with a jump of 8-6.75.
Zeke Sandoval came within .02 of the school record finishing third in the 60 with a time of 6.94. He also finished third in the 200 (22.42).
John Cusick won the 800 in a provisional time of 1:56.06.
Bacall Sterling won the triple jump with a provisional mark of 38-7.
Natalie West placed third in the women's 60 hurdles (9.59), and
Andy Bowles finished third in the men's (8.34).
Taylor Clark finished third in the women's weight throw (39-10.75), and
Trevor Jensen was third in the men's (49-3.5).
McKinzy Anderson finished second in the women's long jump (15-3.5), and
Aukahi Nolan was second in the pole vault (14-11).
Both the men's and women's teams finished third in the team standings.
Colorado Mesa will compete at the RMAC Championships hosted by Chadron State on Feb. 26-27.
