GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – Mary Saiz of Colorado Mesa University won the 200 back in an NCAA B cut time of 2:03.42 to highlight the final day of the Intermountain Shootout Saturday (Oct. 8).
Kelsey Vreeman placed second (208.40) and Cassie Blakeman was third (207.20) on the three-meter board. Brittany Dixon finished ninth (179.70).
CMU had three men finish in the top-10 on the one-meter board. Sage D'Ambrosia finished fifth (257.00), Noah Macomber seventh (247.10) and Shane Gilman 10
th (217.30).
Sam White placed third in the 50 breaststroke (30.92) and Miranda Reetz was sixth (31.14).
Morgan Bean finished fourth (51.36) and Chris Radomski was fifth (51.40) in the 100 fly.
Josh Bedford placed sixth in the 200 individual medley (1:56.25) and ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:12.89).
Eryn Leonard finished seventh in the 100 fly (58.74) and eighth in the 200 fly (2:12.28).
Both the men's (3:10.36) and women's (3:37.36) 400 free relays finished sixth.
The men's 200 free relay placed fifth (1:25.87) and the women finished seventh (1:38.89).
CMU had five men finish in the top-10 of the 50 breaststroke; James Kaku sixth (28.29), Logan Wagner seventh (28.52), Aidan Mercer eighth (29.03), Pete Byers ninth (29.21) and John Nielsen 10
th (30.34).
The Colorado Mesa women's swimming team will compete at Adams State Oct. 28. The men's and women's diving team will compete at the Clarion Diving Invitational Oct. 28-30.
