HURRICANE, Utah – The Colorado Mesa women's golf team concluded the final round of the Dixie State Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 4) at Sand Hallow Golf Course. Colorado Mesa finished 10^th in the 13 team tournament.
 
The Mavericks finished with a 328-316 (+68) in their two rounds at Sand Hallow, 28 strokes behind ninth place Dixie State. They did defeat Arizona Christian, Cal State – East Bay and RMAC foe Westminster.
 
Junior Naomi Yamada led the Mavericks with a 39^th place finish and shot a 14-over, 158 in her two rounds. After shooting an 82 in her first round on Monday, Yamada rebounded with a 4-over, 76 in today's final round. She finished the tournament with four birdies.
 
Megan Liborio finished one stroke behind Yamada with a 15-over, 159. Liborio opened the tournament with a 3-over 75 but struggled today with a 12-over, 84.
 
The Mavericks will close out the fall next week at the RMAC #2 Tournament in Alamosa at Cattails Golf Course.
