GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 9-0 sweep of CSU-Pueblo.
Jordan Lyden and
Spencer Weinberg posted an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, and
Andres Garcia-Rojas and
Cody Freischlag won 8-5 at No. 2.
Duncan Alger and
Blake Demond won 8-6 at No. 3.
Jordan Lyden defeated Trung Le 7-6 (3), 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
The Mavericks won three of the remaining five singles matches in three sets.
Spencer Weinberg won 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-5 at No. 2.
Cody Freischlag won 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 at No. 4.
Blake Demond won at No. 6 singles 3-6, 6-2, 10-3.
Colorado Mesa finishes the regular season 17-6 overall and will enter the conference tournament as the No. 2 seed with a 4-1 mark.
CSU-Pueblo will host the RMAC Tournament April 24-25.Â
