Box Score 2 Complete Match Notes for Colorado Mines and UCCSWEEKEND RECAPColorado Mesa went 1-0-1 this past weekend at the Rimrock Classic in Billings, Montana. The Mavericks opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over San Francisco State on a
Roy Abergil goal in the 51st minute.
In the weekend finale, the Mavericks tied Montana State - Billings 1-1. The Yellowjackets scored in the first 10 seconds of the match but CMU evened the score in the 85th minute on a
Tim Hofer goal.
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAMThe Mavericks had three players make the all-tournament team of the Rimrock Classic. The team was voted on by the local media and sports information office.
Roy Abergil,
Sean Foster and
Blake Carlson all made the team for their play during the tournament.
CLIMBING THE CHARTSSenior
Tim Hofer moved into the top five all-time in both goals and points. Hofer trails Eric Anderson for the all-time lead in both goals (17) and points (40).
Goalkeeper
Brandyn Bumpas is one shutout from reaching the top five in all-time shutouts. Bumpas got the start in the Mavericks win over San Francisco State.
ABERGIL'S ANTICSSophomore
Roy Abergil tallied another goal this weekend is tied for the team lead with two. Both of Abergil's goals have been game-winners and places him fourth in the NCAA in game-winning goals.
NSCAA REGIONAL POLLColorado Mesa dropped to ninth this week in the NSCAA South Central Region Poll. The Mavericks opponent on Friday, Colorado Mines, comes in ranked fourth in the poll.
THE ROSTERThe 2014 roster features a group of 11 freshman that will be able to learn from a group of upperclassmen that has 17 juniors and seniors. Although no freshman are slated to start, many could see action and provide depth in the two matches.
INTERNATIONAL PLAYThis year's roster features three international players. Defender

Luis Schraidt is from Obregon, Mexico.

Roy Abergil is from Beercheeva, Israel.
COACHINGFirst year coach
Todd Padgett is in his first collegiate season on the men's side. Padgett spent the last two seasons as the head coach at Eastern New Mexico for the women's program.Â
Assistant coach
Cole Sweetser is in his first season as a collegiate coach. Sweetser was one of the best players in RMAC history and was named to the RMAC's all-century team.
2013 RMAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPSThe Mavericks won their first-ever RMAC Tournament last season, defeating the Regis Rangers 2-1 in double overtime.
Oliver Querin booted in the game-winning goal in the second overtime period and was named to the all-tournament team.
RMAC PRESEASON POLLColorado Mesa was picked to finish second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and received three first place votes, in the preseason coaches poll. Regis was picked to win the RMAC.
NEXT UPThe Mavericks will be on the road for a pair of matches next weekend. On Friday, they will head to Pueblo for a match with the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves. Then, on Sunday they will head down the road to Alamosa for a match with the Adams State Grizzlies.
