Mesa State defeated regional opponent Mankato 6-1 Saturday morning in Grand Island, Neb. Rockhurst University beat the Mavs 5-0 Saturday afternoon. Friday the Mavericks fell to St. Cloud State 8-1 in Kearney, Neb.  The four teams were scheduled to play outdoors in Kearney, but forced to move indoors due to inclement weather.

MSC's Jaco Gerbrands and Joseph Aragon won 8-4 at number one doubles for the lone point in the match. St. Cloud won 2 of the 3 doubles matches and swept the Mavs in singles for the 8-1 victory.

Against Mankato the Mavs won 2 of the 3 doubles matches and went on to take the top four singles matches to secure the 6-1 win. Gerbrands (#1), Brason Hollabaugh (#2), Andres Hernandez (#3) and Aragon (#4) each won in straight sets in the decisive win.

MSC closed out the weekend falling to Rockhurst 5-0. RU swept the doubles play and closed out the dual with wins at number one and two singles.

MSC will resume RMAC action this weekend in Silver City, N.M. The Mavericks will play Metro State Friday afternoon and host Western New Mexico Saturday morning.
