Mesa State (7-2, 3-2) defeated Fort Lewis College (6-2, 2-2) 75-67 Sunday night in Durango for its third consecutive victory and first road win this season.

Kalonji Paschal scored a season high 17 points to lead the Mavericks hitting 4 of 7 from the field including 2 for 2 from the 3-point line.

Nate Nelson finished with 16 points off the bench; hitting 9 of 10 from the foul line. Nelson and Paschal each had three assists.

Michael Bear went 6 of 9 from the floor for 12 points. Bear and Chandler Burgon each pulled down a game high six rebounds. Burgon finished with eight points and recorded three of the Mavs six blocks.

MSC held a 34-31 halftime lead and led by as many as 11 points late in the game. Nate Nelson broke a 46-46 tie at the 10:27 mark and the Mavericks never trailed again in the contest.

MSC will travel to Adams State College Monday evening for a matchup with the Grizzlies. ASC beat Western State Sunday night 90-74 in Alamosa.
