Mesa State women's golf team finished third at the Mustang Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, NM. The Mavericks moved up two spots to place third with a second day total 327. MSC knocked off ten strokes from day one's round of 337. MSC's combined 664 were two strokes better than fourth place Fort Hays' 666. Wayland Baptist won the team title with a two day total 627. Lubbock Christian finished second with a team total 646.

                Freshman Jennifer Hilts tied for ninth place overall carding a 163. Senior Sadie Peavler-Farnsworth's 164 placed her 14^th overall in the field of 42 golfers. Sadie cut eight strokes off her first round 86, coming in with a 78 on day two. One stroke back of Peavler-Farnsworth was Jessica Berve who finished tied for 15^th place with a 165. Afton Balling shot a 172, placing her 26^th overall. Brittani White tied for 42^nd place with a 198.

                MSC finished ahead of RMAC foes, Western New Mexico (5^th-678), Adams State (7^th – 693) and CSU-Pueblo (8^th – 722).

                Next up for the Mavericks is the Regis Invitational April 6-7 at the Fox Hollow Golf Course in Lakewood.
