GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.— Coming off a team and individual wins, the Colorado Mesa University women's golf team will continue the season on Sunday and Monday competing in the Southern Colorado Open.
CSU Pueblo is hosting the tournament at Walking Stick Golf Course.
Action will get underway on Sunday morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

A look at the field
The Mavericks are one of 15 teams in the tournament field, which includes 13 squads from the NCAA Division II West Region. The Mavs are also one of seven Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference squads in the event, which will give teams a chance to see where they stand four weeks ahead of the conference championships.
New Mexico Junior College and Garden City (Kan.) Community College will also play and come into the event ranked sixth and 14
th in SCOREBOARD's NJCAA rankings.

Kori Satterfield has entered eight women in to the tournament, including the 5-woman team of
Libby Bourassa,
McKenzie Dolph,
Hunter Gledhill,
Anju Ogi and
Payton Panzeri.
Mackenzie Godreau,
Hayden Hawley and
Becca Washington will also play as individuals with Goudreau making her season-debut.
Winners
The Mavericks claimed an 11-shot team win at the SMSU Challenge on Mar. 12-13 at the Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, Arizona. They posted scored of 307 and 308 at the resort's blue course to best the 10-team field with their final score of 615 (+55). Both rounds were better than all other team scores as Augustana finished second at 626 (+66). MSU Denver was third at 629 (+69).
The Mavericks also had the individual medalist as
Payton Panzeri won the individual crown by four shots with a 36-hole total of 145 (+5). She posted round of 71 and 74 and had a 2-shot lead after the first round before doubling her margin in the second while claiming her first collegiate tournament win.
Golfer of the Week
Following her tournament win at the SMSU Challenge, CMU senior
Payton Panzeri was named as the RMAC's Golfer of the Week on Thursday. She is the first Maverick to earn the award since
Cassidy Phelan won the Mar. 14, 2024 award.
Three top fives
Panzeri was one of three Mavs in the top five at the SMSU Challenge.
Anju Ogi finished fourth at 152 (+12) with rounds of 78 and 74 while
Hunter Gledhill tied for fifth just one shot further back at 153 (+13). She had rounds of 79 and 74.
The three top-5 finishes are the Mavs' only ones of the 2025-26 season to date.
Up Next
The Mavericks will not play competitively until Apr. 11-12 when they host the Maverick Challenge at The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa, their final regular season event of the year.
The Mavs will then play at the RMAC Championships from Apr. 19-21 in Boulder City, Nevada.
