In terms of the region, six teams from the South-Central region will get a bid to the dance. This includes the winners of the RMAC and Lone Star Conference tournaments as well as four other at-large bids determined by the NPI Rankings.

Mavs History of the Tournament
CMU has been competing in the RMAC Tournament since 1996 and have made 25 appearances. They've won the regular season title five times and the tournament itself twice, with the last time being in 2023.

The Mavs have also appeared in the NCAA Tournament seven times and have a record of 5-6-1 in the dance. Their best result came in 2023 when they made it to the third round.

The Numbers
The Mavs outscored opponents 26-12, only giving up more than one goal three times this season.

Their 0.71 goals allowed per game in third best in the RMAC and their scoring output of 1.52 goals per game is sixth best.

The offensive attack is led by leading goal scorer Ellie Duncan, who had seven goals in the regular season. She stands alongside Bariao-Arce, Parker Mairs and Jenelle Arenibas who have all contributed to both the goal and assist totals.

A supporting cast of Brooklyn Baird, Angelina Kazinec, Katelyn Romano, Coral Turner, Katie Lozano-Monjaraz, Vanessa Pirrello and Mari Ige will put any team they face on notice.

The defense, while not as dominant, is still as formidable as ever. They've only given up 74 shots on goal, including not allowing a single shot against MSU Denver.

Two-time RMAC Defender of the Week Olivia Barrett leads the defense alongside minutes leader Sarah Dunn, Ella Speerschneider and Kylie Hoffman. Savanah Miller and Averi Larson have contributed as well.

Wieczorek will remain in goal for the Mavs as she has put together another impressive season. She has made 55 saves on 132 shots faced, good for a save percentage of 0.821. She is also tied for RMAC lead in shutouts with nine.

About Fort Lewis
The Skyhawks are just behind CMU in the standings, with a conference record of 7-4-1. These two teams played against each other back in September for the Mavs' home opener, with the Mavs getting a 1-0 victory.

Like CMU, Fort Lewis prides themselves on their defense as they sport the second-best defense in the RMAC. They've only allowed ten goals this year and haven't conceded more than three goals this year.

Their offensive attack is led by Emma Gurule, who has scored a team leading six goals, and Maleia Dayao, who has four goals and four assists. Addyson Carpentier, Ann Spence and Kadyn Begay provide stable play on the offensive side of the ball as well.

This stout Skyhawks' defense is led by Amber Otts, Lucy Bernino and Kailin Gudewicz, who have all started and played in all 17 games thus far.

Trinity Lujan has also started and played in all 17 games between the sticks; she made 62 saves on the season and has only allowed 0.59 goals per average. She is also tied with Wieczorek on shutouts, so expect both keepers to be at their best in this game.

Take a Look Ahead
The winner of this game will head to Denver to take on #1 Regis in the semifinals. That game will take place at the Regis Turf Field, with a kickoff set for 1 p.m.
