LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The NFCA release its Easton top team GPAs and All-America Scholar-Athlete honors this morning with the Colorado Mesa University Softball team picking up recognition in both categories.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories with NCAA Division II boasting 2,179 student athletes having GPAs of 3.5 or higher. Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
Colorado Mesa finished the 2024-25 year with a team GPA of 3.410 to be recognized on the list of top academic teams.
In addition, 12 individual Mavericks were selected as All-America Scholar Athletes for the season with each of them having 3.5 GPAs or higher. That list includes Bella Aragon, Myah Arrieta, Dakota DiPaola, Ally Distler, Brynn Escobar, Jessalyn Gallegos, Khloe Kubitschek, Olivia Litzen, Tegan Medina, Marisa Nehm, Ava Stephens, Chloe Valdez, and Makayla Westmoreland.
In total 9,199 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2024-25 academic year from all collegiate levels.
Auburn University at Montgomery earned the top NCAA DII Team GPA at 3.882.
