COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— The Colorado Mesa University women's golf team was picked fourth in the 2025-26 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, released Tuesday by conference officials.

Payton Panzeri was also named to the RMAC Preseason All-Conference team, announced in conjunction with the poll.
The Mavericks received 60 points in the poll of the league's ten head coaches, who were asked to rank their opposition 1-9 without voting for their own squad. The Mavs received one second place vote, worth eight points, and were named third on four other ballots, receiving seven points for each of those votes.
Kori Satterfield's Maverick squad finished fourth at last year's RMAC Championships and return five team members to this year's squad.
CSU Pueblo topped the poll with 80 points and received eight first place votes. Colorado Christian was tabbed second with 70 points and picked up one of the other first place votes while being named first second or third on all nine possible ballots.
Westminster claimed the other first place vote and received 66 points while being named in the top three on seven of the nine possible ballots.
MSU Denver was picked fifth with 45 points ahead of Fort Lewis (44), Chadron State (30), South Dakota Mines (25), Black Hills State (20) and Adams State (10).
Panzeri was one of eight RMAC golfer named to the Preseason All-Conference Team, which was made up of the top returning players from the 2024-25 All-RMAC voting process.
The senior from Meridian, Idaho co-led the Mavericks last season, earning Second Team All-RMAC honors. She tied for 11
th at the RMAC Championships and had a 77.43 scoring average in all ten of CMU's tournaments in 2024-25, the tenth best mark in program history. She also led the Mavericks with a .692 (401-172-23) head-to-head winning percentage against all other Division II golfers throughout the season.
The Mavericks will begin their 5-tournament fall season at The Swan Memorial to be played on Sept. 7-8 at the Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield, Colorado. The fall season will continue through Oct. 24-25, when they play at the Hawai'i Pacific Sharks Shootout in Aiea, Hawai'i.
