Gledhill takes top three finish as Mavericks conclude season at RMAC Championships

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Hunter Gledhill took third place and the Colorado Mesa University Women's Golf Team played to a fourth-place finish to end their season today as they concluded the third round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Playing in a field of 10 schools the Mavs posted a team score of 900 over the three rounds with their best day of the tournament coming today at 294 for just six over. The six over, 294 was the best team score by any school in the third round.

Coming into today the Mavs were in sixth place to start before jumping those two spots for a top five finish.

Gledhill who had her best round of the season carded a third-round score of 70 while shooting even during the three day stay. In her two-under day, she carded five birdies with 10 pars and just three bogeys. She was honored as a top three medalist in the ceremonies following the conclusion of the Championship.

Payton Panzeri also shone in her final round of the Championship shooting a three over, 75 and finishing at eight over for an eleventh-place finish. She had two birdies on her day.

Carding final rounds in the 70s were also Brittlynn O'Dell and Cassidy Phelan who shot scores of 73 and 76.

O'Dell placed 15th in her final tournament of her career while Phelan came in at 23rd. Both jumped three or most spots in the rankings today to end in the top 25.

McKenzie Dolph golfed as the team's fifth player shooting 83 in her round.

Winning the Championship was Colorado State University Pueblo who shot a team score of 884 for 20 over. They just beat out Colorado Christian University who took second place with 887 total strokes.

Taking home the Championship's individual winning honor was Westminster's Ashley Lam who finished eight under.

The Mavs will now head into the off season before resuming play when they begin next fall.
