COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— The Colorado Mesa University Mavericks have once again swept the Peach Belt Conference-Rocky Mountain Division Player of the Week honors, it was announced by Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference officials.

JJ Brummett received the offensive award while sophomore goalie
Shaden Shields claimed the defensive honor for the second time in the early season.
The awards come after the Mavs' 18-8 win at Rockhurst on Feb. 24, which pushed CMU's record to 4-0.
CMU had also swept the Week No 2 honors after their wins at Dominican and William Jewell while Shields also won the first weekly defensive honor after the Mavs' season-opening win over Concordia University Irvine.
Brummett scored five goals and added three assists to register eight offensive points in the win over Rockhurst, which was receiving votes in the national poll at the time. The preseason all-American out of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, leads the Mavs and the RMAC with 18 points this season and is second behind teammate
Connor Jensen in goals with 11.
Shields, a sophomore from Naples, Florida who spent his freshman year at American International College in Massachusetts, recorded 11 saves in a complete game effort in the win over Rockhurst. He also registered a pair of groundballs.
The Mavericks moved up one spot to 13
th in this week's USILA Poll and are in the midst of a break from competition after playing four games in 11 days in California and Missouri to begin the season. They will return to action with a 3-game swing through Florida from Mar. 15-20.
