COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— For the second time this season, the Colorado Mesa University women's lacrosse team has swept the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, which were announced on Monday afternoon for Week No. 5 by conference officials.

Courtney Havel received the offensive award while freshman goalie
Heather Hawkins claimed the defensive plaudit. Both awards are the first of their respective careers.
The awards come after the Mavericks claimed a pair of road wins over the weekend, including a historic win at nationally-ranked Regis on Friday evening.
Havel, a Lake Oswego, Oregon native, set career-highs for goals and points in that game, scoring six times in the Mavs' 16-11 win over the Rangers, who were ranked 11
th in the national poll at the time. She also had two assists in that victory, which was CMU"s first ever road win over the Rangers in 19 tries in Denver and just the second in all 34 games played between the teams.
Havel then followed that up with five more goals and an assist in Sunday's 18-15 win at UCCS, finishing the weekend with 11 goals and 14 points.
Hawkins, who hails from Palmer Lake, Colorado, tallied 11 saves in both games while picking up her first two goalkeeping wins of her career. She also tallied nine groundballs throughout the weekend, including a career-high seven in the win over UCCS.
CMU had also swept the Week No. 1 awards on Feb. 18 when
Caroline Ohngemach and
Ali Bryant were recognized after the Mavs' opening weekend 1-1 effort in Missouri.
The Mavericks lead the early RMAC standings at 2-0 ahead of CSU Pueblo (1-0) as well as Regis and UCCS, who are both 1-1.
CMU, which has played one of seven total games at home so far this season, now opens up a 3-game home stand, starting Saturday at noon against Westminster (2-4, 0-2 RMAC).
