COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— The Colorado Mesa University Mavericks have swept the initial Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse weekly awards for the 2025 season as seniors Caroline Ohngemach and Ali Bryant were named as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, it was announced by conference officials on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The awards come after the pair helped lead the Mvaericks to a 1-1 split in their opening weekend of the season in Missouri.

They are the first such plaudits of both players' careers.
 
Ohngemach, an attack out of Wayne, New Jersey, scored eight goals while adding two assists in the Mavericks' games at Rockhurst and Missouri Western State last Fridy and Sunday, respectively.  She scored a career-high five goals in Sunday's 15-12 win over the Griffons after recording a hat trick and five offensive points with three goals and two assists against Rockhurst.
 
She also had seven draw controls and five caused turnovers while taking 15 shots, placing 13 of them on net over the weekend.
 
Bryant, a midfielder out of Huntington Beach, California, had a strong all-around weekend, leading or co-leading the Mavericks in numerous categories.  She tallied seven ground balls and five caused turnovers while recording ten draw controls.  Bryant also recorded six points, scoring two goals while adding four assists.
 
She had four groundballs and a career-high four caused turnover in Sunday's win over Missouri Western State.
 
The Mavericks are off this week before traveling to Florida for games at Florida Tech and Saint Leo, both of which are currently in the national rankings, on Feb. 27 and Mar., 1, respectively.
